What we feed our Griffons!
We feed our puppies Nutri Source small breed puppy dry food, along with a small amount of Victor chicken and Rice canned food,as well as a teaspoon full of plain yogurt, and a small amount of cooked Chicken livers, warm all that up before feeding 2 times a day ,normally our puppies will play, eat a little, and play again as they are being fed.We keep the dry food out free choice so they have the option of eating anytime they want along with fresh water. If at all possible I recommend you keep them on this food for a while after you get them as the stress from the move, and change of food can be very hard on them.By about 8 mths we change them over to adult Taste of the Wild Wetlands, this food is grain free, and has no by-products,it has done very good for our dogs, even one that I have had eye issues with ,since she has been on this her eyes are clearer, and look the best they have in yrs,no matter what you feed your puppy or adult choose a high quality food with no fillers or by-products.You always want to make sure your puppy eats every few hrs as they can go into sugar shock[hypoglycemia]which can be deadly for your little guy,if this does happen put some Nutri cal if you have a tube on hand,or a little Karo Syrup on the roof of there mouth or tongue, never try to force a puppy to swallow that is comatose,if no syrup is available you can use peanut butter, our little kids get Peanut Butter as a treat, and love it.If you have ANY problems with one of the puppies you get from us,no matter what time day or night please call me that's what I'm here for, these guys are like my children, and I want to make sure nothing happens to them when they go to there new homes,I would be heartbroken if it did,so please don't ever hesitate to call me!
